About Champagne Creek
The pristine water of Champagne Creek--named after the 19th-century, French pioneer family--meanders through Southwest Oregon’s fertile Garden Valley, one of the Hundred Valleys of the Umpqua.
The Champagnes emigrated from France with twelve children and settled by the old road that connects the French Settlement (Melrose) to Coles Valley. The barn that houses our winery was built close by in 1878.
In the fall of 2001, we assumed management of the winery that had been here since Frank Guido founded it in 1978 under the former name of Di Martini, which later became Garden Valley Winery, Callahan Ridge Winery, and finally Champagne Creek Cellars. It is a dream come true for us to be able to share with you our passion for wine through this lovely place.
