- Since 1854 people committed to the Christian faith have gathered in these buildings with a commitment to being a Church which nurtures faith and positively contributes to the life of the Northcote (Darebin) community. Whilst the words we use today to describe Chalice - community of faith are quite different to those of 150, 100, and even 50 years ago there is a continuity of vision. We celebrate the contributions of all who have gone before us and hope that our contemporary endeavours will offer a vibrant, growing, and celebratory expression of Christianity as a living faith .
