Christian Emergency Network (CEN) was formed after Sept 11, 2001, originally by several Mission America Coalition members, to respond effectively with one voice before, during, and after a national disaster through a united pray-care-share media and ministry response. To date, CEN has over 7,000 Christian ministry and media organizational partners, in addition to 47,000 church partners across the nation Click here to see the list.

Christian Emergency Network adheres to the doctrinal Statement of Faith found in the Lausanne Covenant which was established several years ago under the leadership of Dr. Billy Graham and others who saw the need for a clear statement of doctrinal agreement to unite the body of Christ worldwide. CEN partners are asked to review the Lausanne Covenant. Then, upon agreement, sign up to become a CEN partner uniting with thousands of Christian families, ministries, churches, and media outlets nationwide who commit to praying, caring and sharing the Hope found in Christ before, during and after a national disaster.

Christian Emergency Network, due to its vast group of partners, is a member in good standing with the Homeland Security National Preparedness Committee. Smaller organizations are prohibited from HS Committee membership due to size and reach. CEN cooperates with the Faith-Based Dept of the
