For years Marianne dreamed of having a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel as a pet but demands of work and family took priority. She settled for annual calendars and thought about getting a Cavalier as a retirement companion. But sometimes our life priorities can change. When the five children moved out (mostly), the old home renovations were nearing completion, and a career was exchanged for a job only 5 minutes from home, there was a lot more time and the possibility of having a Cavalier companion no longer seemed like a dream. After visiting with breeders and attending dog shows we were thrilled to welcome a Cavalier into our lives.
But something more happened! Those visits to breeders and shows resulted in new friendships, involvement in the regional Cavalier community, learning so much more about the breed, and an interest in showing. They say you can't have just one Cavalier and it is true. Our second Cavalier, Fraser, was obtained with the hope of showing and that started it all. Much of the rest is outlined on our webpages . Thanks to all who have helped and guided us through the learning process of raising and showing our beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
