Steve Karnish is a respected technician and Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA). He has spent the majority of his career developing and trading mechanical approaches to the markets.
In 1975, Steve begin his trading career with Merrill Lynch. Immediately, he began to develop strategies to mechanically trade stocks and commodities. The following year, Steve began conducting trading and hedging seminars in conjunction with Michigan State University.
In 1982, working as a consultant to the emerging satellite data firms, Steve was responsible for the first momentum oscillators fed to subscribers in “real-time”. His pioneering work led to the position of Executive Vice President of First Financial Futures , in 1984, where Steve structured the Founders Fund I, a fund devoted to commodity futures.
