Ceasefire.ca is an initiative whose mission it is to provide people with Web-based tools to take political action and promote peace, disarmament and social justice.
Steven Staples is Director of the Polaris Institute's Security Programs. He is also the former Issue Campaigns Coordinator of the Council of Canadians, a writer, researcher and political commentator. Born in the Maritimes and a long-time resident of Vancouver, Steven now lives in Ottawa with his wife and two children. stevenstaples@ceasefire.ca
Peter Coombes has spent over two decades researching, writing and working in the area of peace and military affairs. He has also been one of Canada’s leading peace activists. Currently Peter is working on his first book, The Choice of War and writing a monograph Hyperwar. In 1994 Peter Coombes was honoured by the City of Vancouver and United Nations Association with the Vancouver Citizen’s Peace Award.
