Purpose: The Center for Black Women's Wellness, Inc. is a community-based, family service center. The Center's primary purpose is to improve the mental, physical and spiritual growth of women and their families and the economic growth of communities.
Focus Area: Located in a multi-purpose community center, the Center primarily services families in its surrounding area. This 3.5 square mile area is just south of downtown Atlanta, Georgia and has numerous health and social challenges as well as assets from which to build. With a population of about 15,000, the Center's focus area includes the communities of Mechanicsville, Pittsburgh, Summerhill, Peoplestown, Adair Park, and Capitol Homes. The Center also serves women and families throughout Metropolitan Atlanta.
