History of CBC
The current Central Baptist Church was formed when the former church of the same name (Central Baptist Church) merged with Lochee Baptist Church at a service of union held on Sunday 26th November 2000 in the Bright Street premises (former Lochee Baptist. The former Central Baptist Church was formed on Saturday 28th February 1987 at 3:30pm in the Ward Road Sanctuary when Ward Road Baptist Church and Rattray Street Baptist Church joined together. During a time of building refurbishment in the period 12th March 2000 - 13th May 2001 CBC held it's morning services at the Music Centre, and it's evening services at the Congregational Church (Ward Chapel)
