- Cayuga Mortgage Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Elmira Savings & Loan F.A. (ES&L). For several decades ES&L had been originating mortgages in Tompkins, Schuyler and Tioga Counties from their Elmira offices. It was very evident that borrowers in these counties were searching for a dedicated lender who would provide competitively priced mortgage products, backed by an efficient support staff that would provide quick approvals. In an effort to meet this growing need, in 1985 ES&L opened a loan production office at 200 East Buffalo Street in Downtown Ithaca, NY.
