If this saying were true then there probably wouldn't be so many burglaries and such crime would be enacted by small armies. Needless to say, this is not the case and and burgalar alarm is sufficent. The Castle is retired but not forgotten, well,not on Castles~Castles.com anyway.
Castles~Castles.com has been created to celebrate the castle heritage of the British Isles, medieval or otherwise. Whether a castle still stands proud and tall, has crumbled into a mass of ruins or is nothing more than a series of bumps in the ground, Castles~Castles.com wants to remember them but also acknowledge the attempts in later eras to replicate them as nothing more than a romantic notion.
