Tate is the type of person who always searches for a better way of doing things. While getting her degrees in Economics and Business Administration, Tate continued to educate herself about nutrition and fitness as well as alternative, preventive and holistic methods of healing such as homeopathy, naturopathy, herbs, raw foods & raw juices, fasts, supplements, and aromatherapy.
While living in Europe, where natural, holistic concepts in nutrition and healthcare for both animals and humans are more common than in the U.S., Tate attended seminars, trade shows, and conferences on nutrition and fitness. She noticed that dogs and cats in Europe are -- as a rule -- healthier than in the U.S., so she started investigating this phenomenon. Over time, Tate researched the pet food industry both in Europe and America, visited numerous manufacturers of natural pet food in Europe, and talked to pet owners. Her research lead to the idea of writing a book, in which she will share this knowledge about raising animals naturally, as Mother Nature intended and keeping them healthy.
