Description
Carey Knowles was raised on a farm in South Georgia and is still involved in agriculture. The only thing he has been doing longer than farming is going to church. He says that he has been going to church since about 9 months before he was ever born. Carey lives near McRae, Ga. just a few miles from where he was born. His comedy began by speaking for the agriculture and church groups with which he was associated. He now entertains for many types of groups, and his refreshing comedy is appealing to people of all ages. Most of the stories he tells are about things that actually happened or "could have" happened to folks in South Georgia. Carey's stories about taking unusual gifts to teachers, baptizing farm animals, and penning up an escaped hog in a rest stop on I 75 will amuse and delight you.
Carey wears his bow tie in honor of the great Jerry Clower. It's obvious that Jerry Clower has had a great impact on Carey by his style. He loves to tell stories, jokes and tall tales that will make your sides split with laughter and drive home a message along the way. Carey has had a lot of funny experiences of his own, growing up in rural America and he will keep you on the edge of your seat with his tales about his best friend "James Jackson" and his neighbors, "The Bellflowers". Carey has entertained at civic organizations, conventions, church functions, class reunions, company banquets, Virginia State Fair, Sunbelt Expo, and the National Peanut Festival. Since laughter is healthy, you may add years to your life by hearing one of Carey's presentations.
