Don Abbey Senior Vice President Quality and Regulatory Affairs

Don Abbey is senior vice president of Quality and Regulatory Affairs for CareFusion.

Don previously held similar responsibilities as senior vice president of Quality and Regulatory Affairs for the Clinical and Medical Products segment of Cardinal Health.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Don served as vice president of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance for the Critical Care division of Respironics, Inc. Previously, he held a number of leadership roles within the healthcare industry, including general manager of Welch Allyn’s cardiopulmonary business; vice president of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs for Protocol Systems, Inc.; and, director of Quality Assurance for Heartstream, Inc.

Don holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Washington State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington.

Edward Borkowski Chief Financial Officer

Ed Borkowski is chief financial officer for CareFusion.

Prior to joining CareFusion, Ed served as chief financial officer for Mylan, Inc. During his seven year tenure at Mylan, Ed helped to lead the company’s transformation into one of the largest global generic pharmaceutical companies with the acquisition of Merck Generics.

Previously, Ed was vice president of Global Finance and Information Technology for Pharmacia Corporation and held numerous positions of increasing responsibility at American Home Products Corporation in the areas of Compliance, Treasury and Accounting. He began his career at Arthur Andersen, LLP.

A certified public accountant, Ed holds a bachelor’s of science degree in economics and political science from Allegheny College and an MBA in finance and accounting from Rutgers University.

Mark Bruns Senior Vice President Integrated Sales and Support

Mark Bruns is senior vice president of U.S. Integrated Sales and Support for CareFusion.

Most recently, Mark was senior vice president of sales for the Clinical and Medical Products business segment of Cardinal Health. He previously held several positions of increasing responsibility, including senior vice president of Integrated Solutions, vice president of North American Sales, director of U.S. Hospital Sales and director of Sales Operations, Sales Training and Clinical Support.

Mark holds a bachelor’s of arts degree in business administration and accounting from Concordia College.

Cathy Cooney Executive Vice President Human Resources

Cathy Cooney is executive vice president of Human Resources for CareFusion.

She previously held similar responsibilities as senior vice president and Human Resources business partner for the Clinical Technologies and Services segment of Cardinal Health.

Cathy joined Cardinal Health in 1997 as senior vice president of Human Resources for Owen Healthcare, where she helped to integrate the business into Cardinal Health. She later held several leadership positions with Cardinal Health, including vice president and general manager of the Cardinal Health Staffing Network. Cathy also served as the company’s first diversity officer.

Prior to Cardinal Health, Cathy held several leadership roles with PepsiCo and with what is now Halliburton.

Cathy holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Marty Gluck Senior Vice President Information Technology

Marty Gluck is senior vice president of Information Technology (IT) at CareFusion.

Prior to this role, he was vice president of Enterprise IT for the Clinical and Medical Products business segment of Cardinal Health.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Marty held numerous leadership positions at several market-leading technology companies, including vice president of Engineering and Information Technology at Qualcomm, Inc.; director of Information Systems and Technology at Intuit, Inc., and director of Information Systems at Apple Computer, Inc.

Marty holds a bachelor’s of science degree in engineering from the University of Cape Town and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.

Vivek Jain President Medical Technologies and Services

Vivek Jain is president of Medical Technologies and Services for CareFusion.

In this role, Vivek has executive oversight and responsibility for CareFusion’s medical technologies businesses, including V. Mueller® surgical instruments, ChloraPrep® infection prevention products and Nicolet neuro-monitoring devices. Vivek most recently served as executive vice president of Strategy and Corporate Development at Cardinal Health.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Vivek served as senior vice president and head of Healthcare Strategy, Business Development and Mergers and Acquisitions for Philips Medical at Philips Electronics in Amsterdam, Netherlands. In this role, he had global oversight of the strategic planning process and responsibility for the financial analysis of all healthcare transactions.

Vivek was co-head of global healthcare investment banking at J.P. Morgan Securities for four years and began his career in 1994 with Hambrecht & Quist, which was later acquired by JPMorgan Chase.

Vivek holds his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Chicago.

Tom Leonard President Dispensing Technologies

Tom Leonard is president of Dispensing Technologies for CareFusion.

In this role, Tom provides executive leadership and oversight to CareFusion’s Pyxis® automated dispensing and patient identification systems and the MedMined™ electronic infection surveillance service. Prior to this position, Tom served as senior vice president and general manager of the Clinical Services business of Cardinal Health.

Before joining Cardinal Health, Tom was senior vice president and general manager of the Ambulatory Solutions division at McKesson Corporation. Tom also previously served as executive vice president of Operations for Picis, Inc., a developer of clinical software systems in acute care hospital settings, and held leadership roles of increasing responsibility at Millennium Healthcare, Inc. and Ernst & Young.

Tom began his career in the military, serving six years as lieutenant in the United States Navy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the United States Naval Academy and a master’s in business administration from Cornell University.

Dr. Steve Lewis Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Steve Lewis is chief medical officer for CareFusion. He previously served as senior vice president of the Center for Safety and Clinical Excellence within the Clinical and Medical Products segment of Cardinal Health.

Steve joined Cardinal Health following seven years at VHA Southeast, where he served as vice president of Medical Affairs. He began his medical career as a practitioner in general internal medicine and has held positions of increasing responsibility within the medical data and clinical information systems industry, including vice president and principal for a hospital clinical information system and revenue management company.

Steve holds a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a medical degree from the University of South Florida, where he also completed his internship in Medicine and residency in Internal Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Physician Executives.

Jim Mazzola Senior Vice President Global Marketing and Communication

Jim Mazzola is senior vice president of Global Marketing and Communication for CareFusion. In this role, Jim is responsible for the company’s integrated marketing and brand strategy and execution, as well as the organization’s community relations, public relations, meetings and events, Web and internal communication functions.

Most recently, he was senior vice president of Global Communication for Cardinal Health, and he previously served as Cardinal Health’s vice president of Corporate Public Relations.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Jim spent more than five years with Dell in Austin, Texas, where he was director of Corporate Communication for Enterprise and Client Systems. Also at Dell, Jim served as manager of Internal and External Chairman’s Communication.

Previously, Jim also spent more than six years at NCR Corp. in Dayton, Ohio, where he was responsible for Public Relations for NCR’s Computer Systems Group.

Jim holds a bachelor’s of arts degree in communication and a master’s degree in business administration, both from the University of Dayton.

Neil Ryding Executive Vice President Global Manufacturing and Supply

Neil Ryding is executive vice president of Global Manufacturing and Supply for CareFusion.

He previously held similar responsibilities as executive vice president of Global Manufacturing and Supply for the Clinical and Medical Products business segment of Cardinal Health.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Neil was senior vice president of Operations for Smith and Nephew and held a variety of positions with Johnson & Johnson’s medical device companies. Neil began his career at Rolls Royce Aero-Engines, where he participated in their selective apprenticeship program and then went on to hold various functional, operational and leadership positions.

Neil holds a bachelor’s of science degree in mechanical and production engineering from the University of Derbyshire and a master’s of science degree in manufacturing systems engineering from the University of Warwick.

David Schlotterbeck Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Dave Schlotterbeck is chairman and chief executive officer for CareFusion.

Previously, Dave served as vice chairman and chief executive officer for the Clinical and Medical Products business segment of Cardinal Health, where he provided executive oversight for the company’s Clinical Technologies and Services, Medical Products and Technologies, and International business segments.

Prior to this role, Dave served as chief executive officer for Cardinal Health’s Clinical Technologies and Services business segment, where he was responsible for the company’s patient point-of-care strategy and key supporting products and services, including the Alaris® Products, Pyxis® Products and Pharmacy Services organizations. He joined Cardinal Health through the acquisition of Alaris, where he was president and chief executive officer.

Dave also previously held executive leadership roles as president and chief operating officer of Pacific Scientific Company; president and chief executive officer of Vitalcom, Inc.; and, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Nellcor, Inc.

Dave holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the General Motors Institute (Kettering University) and a master’s of science degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University. He also completed the Executive Institute at Stanford University.

Joan Stafslien Executive Vice President General Counsel and Secretary

Joan Stafslien is executive vice president, general counsel, and secretary for CareFusion.

She most recently held similar responsibilities as senior vice president and general counsel for the Clinical and Medical Products business segment of Cardinal Health.

Joan joined Cardinal Health as senior counsel for Alaris Medical Systems and later became deputy general counsel. Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Joan was an associate at the law firm of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP, specializing in real estate, general corporate and environmental law. Prior to law school, she worked at The Dow Chemical Company as a chemical engineer and in sales roles.

Joan holds a bachelor’s of science degree in chemical engineering from Northwestern University and a juris doctorate from University of Wisconsin -Madison Law School.

Mark Stauffer Senior Vice President Chief Compliance Officer and General Auditor

Mark Stauffer is chief compliance officer and general auditor for CareFusion. In this role, Mark is responsible for the company’s internal audit function, as well as the organization’s ethics and compliance program.

Prior to this role, he served as chief financial officer for the Clinical Technologies and Services segment of Cardinal Health.

Mark joined Cardinal Health as senior vice president of Audit following his 23-year tenure at KPMG LLP, where he served as the partner in charge of Midwest Internal Audit Services. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Jason Strohm Senior Vice President Portfolio and Channel Development

Jason Strohm is senior vice president of Portfolio and Channel Development for CareFusion.

Most recently, Jason served as senior vice president of Strategy, Business Development and Innovation for the Clinical Technologies and Services business segment of Cardinal Health.

Jason joined Cardinal Health in 1995 and has held several positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of Treasury and Business Development. Jason also served as vice president of Investor Relations for Cardinal Health.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Jason worked in the Commercial Lending group at Star Bank.

Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Cincinnati.

Christian Voigtlaender Senior Vice President Strategy and Innovation

Christian Voigtlaender is senior vice president of Strategy and Innovation at CareFusion. Most recently, he held similar responsibilities as senior vice president of Strategy and Innovation for the Clinical and Medical Products segment of Cardinal Health.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Christian was acting head of Strategy and Business Development at Philips Medical Systems, the global healthcare division of Royal Philips Electronics, where he had served as vice president of Corporate Strategy. Previously, he was executive vice president of Finance and Business Development at eMADISON, a business-to-business software start-up that he co-founded in 1999.

Christian held prior positions in strategy and operations at Credit Suisse First Boston Technology Group and McKinsey & Company, Inc.

Christian holds a master’s of science degree in mathematics from Rostock University and a master’s of science degree in operations research from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Dwight Winstead Chief Operating Officer

Dwight Winstead is chief operating officer for CareFusion.

Previously, Dwight served in a similar role as chief operating officer for the Clinical and Medical Products segment of Cardinal Health, where he provided executive direction and oversight for the segment’s three global businesses: Critical Care Technologies, Dispensing Technologies and Medical Technologies and Services.

Prior to this role, Dwight was chief operating officer of the Clinical Technologies and Services business of Cardinal Health. Earlier, he served as group president for Cardinal Health’s Automation and Information Services segment, a role he assumed after serving as president of Owen Healthcare, which was acquired by Cardinal Health in 1997.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Dwight served as executive vice president of VHA, Inc., a nationwide alliance of community-owned health-care organizations. He was also director of materials management and administrative director of clinical laboratories at Alton Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, La. He previously held multiple health-care sales positions with both Worthington Diagnostics and Johnson & Johnson. Dwight began his career in medical technology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Dwight currently serves on the board of directors for OncoGeneX Pharmaceuticals and was a member of the board of directors for Sonus Pharmaceuticals from 1995 to 2008.

Dwight holds a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from Delta State University.

Carol Zilm President Infusion and Respiratory Systems

Carol Zilm is president of Infusion and Respiratory Systems for CareFusion.

In this role, Carol is responsible for the company’s infusion and respiratory technology businesses, including the Alaris® IV pumps and AVEA and Pulmonetic Systems ventilation and respiratory products. Carol most recently held similar responsibilities as president of Clinical Technologies for Cardinal Health.

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Carol held several leadership roles at the Cordis Corporation of Johnson & Johnson, including vice president of Sales and Marketing and worldwide president for the Cordis Endovascular and Cordis Neurovascular business units. Under her leadership, Cordis Endovascular became the market leader in the U.S. and Europe and number one or two in 80 percent of the countries in which it operates.

Carol also held prior positions at General Electric, including general manager of Marketing for GE Medical Systems, and spent 12 years at 3M Corporation in roles of increasing responsibility within Strategic Planning, Business Development and Marketing Operations.

Carol holds her bachelor’s degree in economics and government from St. Lawrence University and an MBA in finance from Syracuse University.
