Description

Cardinal provides natural gas processing, treating, and producer services downstream of the wellhead to producers and pipeline companies. These services are offered to condition gas streams in order to meet pipeline gas quality specifications.

Jim Bryant is a registered chemical engineer in the states of Texas and Louisiana, and has over 40 years in all phases of the natural gas business. He has decades of experience in engineering and management of gas processing plants. He participated as a key officer and director in the development of Gulf Energy and Development Corporation, a major part of the original base of Tejas Gas Corporation. For two years he was Vice President-Sales for Production Operators Inc. Bryant founded Endevco in 1977, and was CEO and Chairman of the Board until 1993. Endevco was recognized in 1983 by Inc. Magazine as the fastest growing public company in the United States. Endevco ultimately grew to over $200 million of annual revenues and assets of $148 million. Endevco, at its peak, owned over 1,200 miles of pipelines, six gas liquids extraction plants, eight natural gas treating plants, and two petroleum refineries. Endevco (later known as Cornerstone Natural Gas, Inc.) with Bryant’s assistance overcame financial challenges which developed during the natural gas depression of the late 1980’s and in 1996 sold to El Paso Field Services Company for $117 million. In 1994, Bryant founded Cardinal Resources, Inc.; a Dallas based engineering consulting firm specializing in providing engineering services to the mid-stream natural gas industry. In 1997 Bryant and Mack Lawrence formed Cardinal Gas Services, Ltd., a contract gas treating company. This business specialized in gas treating projects and was sold to The Hanover Company in July, 1999. In 2000, Bryant and Lawrence founded Grapevine Gas Processing, Ltd. which owned/operated the Black Lake Unit gas plant located in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. Most recently Bryant was President of Regency Gas Services, LLC, which had total gas throughput of approximately 450 million cubic feet per day. The mid-stream natural gas service company had combined assets consisting of approximately 3,000 miles of pipelines, 115,000 horsepower of compression and five gas processing plants with aggregate processing capacity of 330 million cubic feet of gas at the time of its sale to Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst in December 2005 for $405 Million.

Mack Lawrence has over thirty (30) years experience in all phases of the natural gas business. He was originally with Texas Utilities Fuel Company (TUFCO) involved in the gas supply and exploration phases of business. He later became VP-Marketing for Enserch Exploration Inc. where he was involved in marketing of natural gas, oil, and NGL’s worldwide. In 1985, he participated in the formation and ownership of Tristar Gas Company, which was involved in the gathering, processing, treating and marketing of natural gas. In 1987, Tristar merged into America Central Gas Company, which in 1988 was recognized by Inc. Magazine as the fastest growing private company. Tristar Gas Company was re-formed in 1990 as a separate company and continued in the same business segments. Lawrence sold his interest in Tristar in 1993. In 1997 Lawrence and Jim Bryant formed Cardinal Gas Services, Ltd., a contract gas treating company. In 2000, Lawrence and Bryant founded Grapevine Gas Processing, Ltd. Most recently Lawrence co-founded and was EVP-Marketing of Regency Gas Services, LLC, which had total gas throughput of approximately 450 million cubic feet per day.
