Description
A few years ago, a group of young individuals got together and decided to form Capital Toastmasters. They had some trouble keeping the momentum of participation going but managed to get over that and keep the club from being a thing of the past.
They struggled during the May 2000 events. Things were chaotic and in the light of things happening in the country, improving speaking was not too high on the list of priorities lest the right to free speech be denied. :-) The toastmasters meetings were put into a hiatus.
As soon as things settled down and life started taking on some sense of normalcy, the group called each other and decided to meet again. Good thing they did that...else what would have happened to me (the webmaster) and other individuals with regard to improving communication skills....goodness knows.
