- This story is 100% correct as it looked from where I was standing. In my parish it seems that we have, or had one or two people on the staff working hard to find a way around canon law, as in looking for loop holes. The first thing that came to my mind was, “Woe to you, scholars of the law! You have taken away the key of knowledge. You yourselves did not enter and you stopped those trying to enter,” Luke 11:52, now keep in mind this is Christ talking. Trying to find a loop hole in canon law, which comes from the bible, is like trying to find a way into the kingdom of heaven without going though Christ. I took this to our Parish Priest and this is the part I found hard to believe, he told me that “everyone is doing it,” now this is the same kind of mob mentality that crucified Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior (Mark 15:6-14). Our “Lord and Savior,” now I’m a little like Saint Peter, if someone tries to drive a nail into Christ today I’m going to cut someone’s ear off (John 18:10). Now I have to love Saint Peter, for he was the disciple that knew Christ as being the Messiah (Mark 8:29) and he was ready to go into combat with the high priest, his slaves and soldiers to make sure no harm came to Christ. Now on with the story, so after getting the “everyone is doing it” from the priest, I moved the fight to the diocese with no luck there either, so now I’m here on the web. The battle that Saint Peter was about to have with the high priest, his slaves and soldiers is the same as the battle here today. I pray for Peters' help, for the adversary in this battle is the same as it was back then.
