- Canoefest 2006 brought back canoe racing to the Whitewater River in a big way. In its first year back reviving races that were held from 1963 until 1990, with winners that included Gold Medal Olympians, Canoefest was a huge success. In 2007, the event will return again in 2 big days, June 22 & 23!
