Candy Barr was born in 1935 and spent a large part of her life in Brownwood Texas. She passed away in Edna Texas in 2005 due to complications from pneumonia. She was an American stripper, burlesque queen, exotic dancer, poet, author, and singer. She appeared as an actress in one pornographic movie, and as a model in various men’s magazines of the mid-20th century. During the 1950s, she received nationwide attention for her stripping career in Dallas, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
