About Us

The Cancun Blog and The Cancun Club were created by Tim Sissel and Susan Vincil, both of whom are long-time lovers of Cancun.

The Cancun Blog was developed following Hurricane Wilma. Tim and Susan found that most of the media were reporting inaccurate information regarding the cleanup efforts, as well as the current state of the beaches and Cancun, in general. As a fan of the popular tourist town, Tim was very irritated by all the misinformation, but as a Cancun resident, Susan was heartbroken that the world was being told her beautiful city was in a state of disrepair. Both wanted to set the record straight and teamed up to start The Cancun Blog. In addition to information regarding the cleanup efforts, Susan also shares personal accounts of her life in Cancun.

Tim and Susan started The Cancun Club in order to provide other “Cancun Addicts” with great money-saving discounts while on vacation, but also as a show of support for the businesses that were able to get back on their feet following the devastation of hurricane Wilma. The Cancun Club allows members a way to meet by having weekly gatherings where Club members will meet for dinner, and then finish the evening in one of Cancun’s incredible nightclubs!
