Title

Wide Plank Flooring

Description

T owering stands of Fir, Hemlock, and Cedar were felled on the West Coast in the early 1900's. At this time those wielding the axe saw an endless supply of century old wood. The wood was milled and shipped world-wide. Some of it stayed close to its birthplace to fortify the massive Saw Mills, Bridges and Warehouses being built to support a rapidly growing population.

Today, over a hundred years later, many of these structures are being replaced and the wood discarded. Committed to preserving both our forests as well as this rich part of our heritage, wood is being rescued from these sites and remilled into a variety of flooring products with unmatched beauty.

Although we offer relatively clear timbers and boards, many people prefer the more weathered grades as every groove, nail hole and insect track reflects the rich character of age and experience. Whatever you prefer, you can count on receiving rare centuries old wood at no cost to our forests.
