C&C California was created by two girls who grew up on the beaches of Southern California during the 1970’s. Their mutual love for the styles, colors, and comfort of that decade continued to evoke and inspire them. Their personal style idols from that era have remained a constant as well. In addition to Ali, think Steve McQueen, Raquel Welch, Peter Fonda, and Natalie Wood… beach or pool side, lounging… all looking undeniably cool, satisfied, and inherently carefree.
After years of rummaging through the family attic and scouring the coastal thrift stores, Cheyann Benedict and Claire Stansfield set out to make their own collection, one that would embody the classic 1970’s “California Chic” that they both longed for. The collection would be easy and wearable, yet certain to exude a laid back appeal. The line would offer the perfect pieces to be worn at almost any occasion, from shopping to bikinis to cocktails at sunset.
