About California Chinese Shar Pei Rescue
Anna and Rich Payne got started with rescuing Shar Pei about ten years ago while living in Pennsylvania. There they worked with Operation Scarlett of Lancaster, PA, and helped rescue hundreds of needy Pei. Since moving to California in 1999, they have continued their work here. Anna and Rich now live with their six "kids" and 20 to 30 foster kids on a beautiful farm East of Redding in Northern California.
Here is a photo of Rich with his "posse" as he calls them. They run loose while the others are being fed and walked.
They are four of Anna and Rich's six dogs. Their other two are Lily and Elmo. Here's a little history on these four:
