The idea for CabinFinders grew out of founder's, Robin McCormick, love of lakeshore living and her own experiences renting private homes for family vacations. Prior to purchasing her own lake home, Robin and her family searched for a lake home rental in the Brainerd area. Having rented vacation homes in other areas of the country, she found it surprising that no services were available in the Brainerd area, the heart of the land of lakes.
