Cam M. Roberts (23) is a Performing Arts Professional, Literary Management Consultant, & Poet from NC – www.cammroberts.com | Cam earned his BA from Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, NC) in 2012, where he studied Theatre & English. While at WFU, he directed 2 Ring Theatre Productions: Harold Pinter’s one-act political drama Mountain Language in 2011 & God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza in early 2012. Cam also performed in 5 WFU Mainstage productions: Emilie: La Marquise du Chatelet Defends Her Life Tonight, Eurydice, The Grapes of Wrath, Moonchildren, and Sonnets for an Old Century – as well as sound designing 8 very distinctly different shows. Cam also has scholarly & professional experience in Social Media & SEO, research, web development, and multimedia curating/archiving. His most significant creative influences & inspirations are Harold Pinter, Samuel Beckett, Edward Albee, Sam Shepard, Caryl Churchill, Yasmina Reza, Tim Miller, Sylvia Plath, T.S. Eliot, Seamus Heaney, James Merrill, Philip Levine, W.S. Merwin, A.R. Ammons, David Biespiel, Cormac McCarthy, Virginia Woolf, William Faulkner, Thomas Pynchon, and Philip Glass. Before his undergraduate studies began, Cam attended high school at The North Carolina School of Science & Mathematics (Durham, NC), Alumnus ’08.
