We have been and will be dedicated to bringing generations of families quality, educational and enjoyable playthings. While encouraging children to engage in cooperative and creative play, we also believe in having fun! We invite you to explore our catalog and you'll find a sample of some of our time-tested favorites and some new things we think you'll like, too.
We were established in the Chicago suburb of Hinsdale in 1960. We know we could not have achieved such longevity without our loyal customers and so we extend our sincere gratitude.
Begun by Charles J. Foster over 40 years ago, we have always been a family owned and operated business. Though 'Charlie' has passed, his son Chuck has been at the helm since the first day in 1960. Over the years some of Chuck's children and grandchildren have been involved in the operation of the store. Our store managers have been with us for over a decade and one of the charter staff members still works for us to this day. When you visit us, we hope you will always find a familiar face eager to help you.
