17 youth from the Lake Babine Nation will travel throughout western Canada this year displaying traditional and non-traditional dancing and drumming.
The Carrier Drum & Dance Group was started several years ago by Lloyd Abrahams Sr. and his wife Melva to ensure dance and drum techniques are kept alive and youth are encouraged to lead a healthy life style .
Bulkley Valley Credit Union is pleased to be able to help with travel costs to encourage and support this valuable and rewarding local program with a $250 donation from our Community Support Fund.
