- Burgett Systems started was in 1997, providing outsourced IT services for two small Test and Measurment Companies in Portland Oregon. Advertising strictly by word of mouth, by 2001 Burgett Systems was providing IT support for serveral R & D branch offices for major corporations. These are extremely challenging IT enviroments consisting almost exlusively of engineers working on multiple platforms and systems. R & D offices need cutting edge technologies, and with the cost of top-notch engineering time, they need it yesterday. Burgett Systems was able to support these technically challenging users in a more timely and more cost effective manner than the internal IT department. We now have IT support customers in 3 states.
