Gesele Lajoie has been a teacher/counsellor/administrator in the Coquitlam School District for the past thirty years. She has worked with children from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in developing problem solving, anger management and pro-social skills. Gesele recognized the importance for children to belong to a peer group and has worked hard to help develop programs where all children can find their place. Gesele believes that provided with anti-bullying information children will have the power and desire to make a positive difference in their schools and communities.

Alyson began her teaching career 32 years ago. Since 1972 she has taught children from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in a variety of school settings. She most recently taught in a grade 6 to 8 Middle School. Alyson and her husband have three children, two sons and a daughter. In the past nine years she has been active with her partners, Gesele Lajoie and Cindi Seddon, educating children and adults about the effects of bullying. Along with co-authoring "Take Action Against Bullying" and co-producing a video for students, she has presented at a number of conferences for educators, most notably the National Middle School Conferences in Indianapolis and Denver, in 1997 and 1998. She is presently the Principal of an Elementary School.

Cindi Seddon takes the issue of bullying seriously. She has co-authored two books on the subject, and has been interviewed many times on national TV and radio talk show programs. Cindi's expertise on bullying is both research and practically based. She earned her master's degree in education studying children's interactions. She has an extensive background in the public education system having taught grades one to ten, and she has been an administrator in both middle and elementary schools. Cindi conducts many seminars on this important topic for teachers, parents, administrators, police, healthcare workers and students. Currently, Cindi is principal of a middle school. At home she has two young daughters and a very supportive husband.
