History
Prior to 1969 decision, this name was applied to the 6,300 ft summit currently named The Scout. Application changed at the request of a local mine owner and in agreement with U.S. Forest Service (USFS). Board on Geographic Names (BGN) reversed its 1969 decision in 1970, but reinstated the original 1969 application in 1971.
