basset rescue of old dominion (brood) was formed in the fall of 1996 by a small group of basset hound lovers who wanted to offer a more customer friendly approach to adopting a basset. brood finds homes for around 150 basset hounds every year
JOIN BROOD. You can become a member of BROOD and have a voice in rescue. Membership gives you our daily emailed newsletter, voting privileges at our annual meeting and an invitation to attend our members-only picnic in the summer.
DONATIONS to BROOD are critical to our survival. Our veterinary costs are skyrocketing and adoption fees only cover a fraction of our actual expenses.
