- Brieftec Ltd. was established in February 2006 for the producing and marketing of mobile and computer solutions. These solutions were thus, designed to improve the efficiency of the information, processing procedures of its customers. Brieftec Ltd.’s growth is based on the optimal combination of results from both academic applied research and solid business competences from the field of mobile solutions. The technological platform applied in all Brieftec Ltd.'s software solutions, are based on the results, knowledge and technologies developed in both the MOOP and Rotuaari research projects. The MOOP project, develops a mobile learning environment and is run by the City of Oulu in conjunction with technology partners. Brieftec Ltd. is the technology provider for the MOOP project. The Rotuaari- project, is a University of Oulu led project developing context aware mobile services.
