I was born in northwestern Illinois, where I lived all my life until a few years ago. After my husband accepted a job transfer to northeastern Indiana in November 2002, we packed up our belongings and moved away from our family and everything we had ever known. While that was more than a little frightening, it was also very exciting!
We settled in a small Amish farming community in Indiana, very much like where we had come from in Illinois (but without the Amish). It's a quaint, cozy little town, and fits our lifestyle perfectly. We really enjoy it here.
I have worked in the needlecraft industry since 1989. Most of that time was spent working as a freelance crochet designer. Two years ago, I joined the editorial staff of a major Midwestern publishing company, so I have been privileged to view the industry from both sides. It has been an incredible journey!
