Brave Heart Bears

Brave Heart Bears are my creations. I had been making bears, as a hobby, for friends and family for about 6 years before deciding to create Brave Heart Bears in March 2003. I guess part of the drive behind this was the birth of my daughter Amber, in April 2002, who is as cute as can be, but clearly I'm very biased!
The first bear I owned, an unnamed 1970's plush Pedigree beige and white panda, is still, I'm glad to say, in my possession. I class myself as very lucky since, lets face it, most of us have long since parted with our childhood bears. I started 'actively collecting'
bears in 1995, but moved away from the large manufacturers quite quickly after discovering Teddy Bear fairs.....look how much more choice there was available.....and could so many people really share the same passion? It wasn't long before I was buying my first ¼ meter of mohair and so my first bear, Melvin, was born. Soon after, Melvin began to invite relatives, brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles...as our home, and friends and families, started to swell with the increasing number of additions, action was needed!
