My name is Brandon Robb and I am nineteen years old. I am a current employee of Deaconess Hospital and have been employed there since September of 2005. Deaconess is the largest hospital in Evansville which has specialist of every shape and size. I work on unit 2500/2600 which is the Cardiovascular unit. I enjoy my job for the fact that I get to go out and help someone every day that I go into work. I started out on unit 3500 which works hand in hand with the unit I work on now. Cardiovascular Care Center (CVCC) which is where I work now allows me to work in telemetry though which I enjoy very much. I read heart rhythms and decipher what is wrong when ever a patient has arrhythmic beats, or in other words when there heart does something it is not supposed to do I have to read the EKG and figure out what they did.

I have been a firefighter/first responder with Perry Township Fire Department since March of 2003. A First Responder is a step under an EMT. I am also a Hazardous Materials First Responder. I enjoy being a firefighter, because I know that I am out there helping people and the community. I am not sure if I want to try to get on a department for a paid position after high school or not.

I am also a volunteer of the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) which plays a big role in Vanderburgh County. We at EMA strive to assist the community and give guidance to all whom need it. It is important to us that we provide a great safe community for all to live within. I enjoy and am proud to be a member of EMA.
