Brainstorm Center for Learning and Development started as Brainstorm Speech and Talent Center Established on March 2001 in San Fernando City, La Union Philippines. It is a 5-hour ride by bus north of Manila, the Country's Capital.
The Company is the pioneer in English tutorial in the province making Brainstorm synonymous to "English Tutorial". Aside from English Tutorials, it also offered Academic Tutorial in all subjects in all levels as well as lessons in Music, Dance, Drawing and Painting, Basic Computer and Personality Development.
Since Brainstorm is the only institution offering one-on-one English Fluency in the area, some nurses who are preparing for the TSE (Test of Spoken English)Test went to enroll in "Fluency in English Conversation" in April of 2002. After some sessions, they requested that the Center should offer TSE review because the need for English Proficiency Tests for nurses going to English speaking countries is enormous.
Then in June 2002, Brainstorm Speech and Talent Center started offering TSE Review for Unlimited Sessions and Second Review Fee Free of charge if the reviewee doesn't make the test. There were just a few students then because people are still unaware of the offering. During the 4th quarter, students gradually increased and by the end of the year - Brainstorm got a 100% passing rate in TSE!
The TOEFL and IELTS reviews were added the following year. TOEFL proved to be an easy test as all of the reviewees passed everytime. The IELTS review started late in November and during the December test, Brainstorm achieved the first of 11 100% passing rate!
Brainstorm Speech and Talent Center changed its name
Brainstorm Speech and Talent Center changed its name to "Brainstorm Center for Learning and Development" in January 2004 because it is no longer just a Speech and Talent Center but a Review Center as well. New Reviews were added such as the Philippine Local Nursing Board, CGFNS and NCLEX-RN for Nurses. Reviews for College Admission Test and Civil Service Examination were also included.
In March 2005, Brainstorm Center for Learning and Development started a Pre-School for toddlers. During the first quarter of 2006, Customer Service Representative Training was offered for those who wanted to work in Call Centers.
