The Reprieve
The Reprieve is an innovative recovery program that Bradford Health Services provides that helps individuals with chemical dependencies learn that they can have healthy & fulfilling lives free of alcohol & other drugs. The home is affordable and individuals receive treatment in a home atmosphere.
The focus of the eight to 12-week program is on recovery through a highly effective combination of:
- the 12 Steps of Recovery
- professional counseling to address individual roadblocks to recovery
- lifestyle modification through structure
- acceptance of personal responsibility
- performance of specific living skills
- and group account ability.
The program is designed for individuals who have complete detoxification & do not require medical supervision. The residence cover an 8,000-square-foot-area with a culinary staff to prepare family-style meals. Recovery for the family is just as essential as recover for the addicted person. The family recovery aspect of the program consists of two weekends in The Reprieve learning about the family healing processes & putting those processes into practice.
The Reprieve residence is based in a fully restored historic home in a city with small-town charm in Opelika, Alabama, pleasantly contrasted with modern conveniences. A restored covered bridge, wildlife trail, & nature sanctuary provide patients the perfect atmosphere for meditation and introspection, while the town's extensive aquatic and exercise facility offers diverse recreational opportunities.
