- The Bowery Presents was formed in 2004 by principals of the Mercury Lounge and the Bowery Ballroom. The impetus for the Bowery Presents was to extend the relationships with artists and agents developed through the Mercury Lounge and Bowery Ballroom into larger venues, at the same time bringing our trademark sound, acoustics and talent buying expertise to venues beyond the existing clubs. We aim to be the local, independent alternative to the larger, corporate-establishment-national promoters, offering the best experience we can along with reasonable ticket prices.
