Our Story

What initially started as an outlet for pigs grown on the family farm, Boss Hogg has grown to a full fledge pork products business. Steve Sands, the founder, started Boss Hogg by doing hog roast for family and friends. He wanted to find a way to introduce people to the other white meat, pork. From hog roast, Boss Hogg grew to include a car/wash restaurant called the Scrub and Grub. It was an opportunity for people to enjoy a BBQ sandwich, tenderloin, chicken, ribs while they were getting their car washed. The products became so popular that a catering business evolved from the Scrub and Grub. At present, the catering business caters to a number of functions around northern Indiana. The catering specializes in BBQ pork products with its signature product being BBQ pork sandwich. A creamy and smooth BBQ developed from Steve's secret recipe. The full line of catering products include ribs, tenderloins, chicken, beef, chops along with all the trimmings.
