Our quest for consolidation led us to the concept of a Home Theater PC (HTPC). In my vision, the ideal HTPC has a small form-factor, powerful audio and video processing capability, top-notch networking, and the ability to be remote-controlled, preferably with my existing Harmony universal remote control. With those requirements in mind, the Mac Mini possessed the perfect combination of features and aesthetics to serve as the centerpiece of our entertainment system.
