- Welcome to the Book of Mozilla portal for former employees of Netscape Communications Corporation and susequently AOL in the division that was Netscape. Back in the day, Netscape wasn't a place to work . Wikipedia on Netscape Communications Corporation Netscape was a place to change the world. There was incredible media focus on the every action and announcement of the organization. When Mozilla spoke the world listened. Netscape went from it's inception in 1994 a major technology leader to the end 2003 becoming effectively nothing but an AOL Brand. Over the many intervening years the organization and employees faced a varied set of different business challenges and business mandated conditions. This portal is designed to be a place for all the former Netscape employees to interact and keep in touch.
