- BookAngles normally analyzes classics, books found on classic types of reading lists, such as the Newbery awards, and books that many discerning parents might allow children to read at some stage of development. However, on a recent visit to the young adult section of our public library, we were appalled at the number and popularity of books that directly oppose Judeo-Christian values. These books are routinely recommended to our children by teachers and librarians. Many have won awards and are on modern school reading lists.
