About BonFoey.com
Asher D. Bonfoey was an accomplished violinist performing with the Euclid Avenue Opera House. His wife, Della, was a skilled seamstress. Back in 1890, Asher created a frame for a valentine for his wife. When friends saw the frame, a demand for his work began. What started as a hobby quickly became a full time business, The Bonfoey Company was established in 1893. The original location was at 368 Erie Street (now East 9th St).
