- We are Jim & Dianne Thompson from Asheville, NC, serving as long term volunteers here in Guatemala. We arrived February 5, 2003. Currently, we run a medical clinic in an area of Guatemala called "Boca Costa de Solola". We also host medical teams that we recruit to the area. We have six children, all grown, and three grandkids. Our home church is Trinity United Methodist, where we have been members since about 1991.
