Description
Bob Greer is the Republican candidate for Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture who will work on behalf of ALL Georgians as Commissioner. He is a Georgia native who was born and raised on his family's farm and dairy in Jackson, Georgia, and is a graduate of West Georgia College with a degree in Business Management and Marketing. He has an impressive business background in sales, marketing, business ownership and consulting. He served as President of the Pet Industry Association of Georgia for 2 years and continues to serve on their Board of Directors. He has served on the Department of Agriculture Companion Animal Advisory Board. He is presently on the Council of International Farm Market Advisors to the Center for Family Farm Development, Inc., and is a member of the Pest Control Operators of Georgia and serves on their Regulatory Oversight Commission.
Bob believes in Christian family values and the sanctity of life. He has strong work ethics and will give equal opportunity and consideration to all. He will bring honesty, integrity and accountability back to the Commissioner's office. Bob is a Vietnam Veteran, a Master Mason and a Rotarian. He believes in service above self. Bob is a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Roswell Rotary Club, Cumming/Forsyth Co. Chamber of Commerce, and has worked in sales, marketing and business consulting. Greer is a successful businessman and continues to work in the Atlanta business community. Greer has been a Republican since 1964 and intends to bring a farmer’s work ethic to the state house. Greer and his wife of 37 years have 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren. They currently live in Cumming, Georgia, and attend Cumming First United Methodist Church.
Bob first ran for this office in 1998 and was elected your Republican nominee with almost 600,000 votes. That was his first step towards winning this race. The incumbent was appointed by Governor Lester Maddox, 37 years ago; and, Georgia, it’s time for a change!
