- What’s the story behind the name? I’ve always had an affinity for animals. When I was a kid it was pandas, now its squirrels. While at Michigan State University, I got a tattoo of a squirrel, because they were everywhere, and just seeing them run makes me smile. A short while later I had a dream, where the Squirrel spoke to me, and it told me it’s name was “Chakik” (chuh - Kick). He has been my guardian ever since, and it seemed appropriate to name the MINI after him…
