We're Ken Stowell & Christina Gillespie, collectively known as BluBrix. A couple of self-taught artists from Pennsylvania.. Pittsburgh to be exact. We get paid to do what we love.. which doesn't suck at all. Our art is our own...not to be compared to others - we like it like that.
Ken dabbles in painting, mixed media works, photography, and is known for splattering out a multi-textural paint pond or two. Most of his works are a combination of several types of common artist materials (acrylic paint, pigments, powders), while he often keenly incorporates many types of recycled things (photography, broken cds, ephemera, etc.).
Christina loves playing up vintage images. She favors working with scantily costumed & nude turn-of-the-century Parisian women images the most. When the almighty American self-conciousness hits her, she reverts to her first loves - digital painting, photo-manipulation & surrealistic graphic artistry.
