Welcome to the site of Blackfriars Settlement. We are a voluntary organisation striving to create opportunities for local people and add our expertise, encouragement and support to the efforts and achievements of those in the area. Founded in 1887 by women from Oxbridge universities, the Settlement has worked hard ever since through social changes and uncertainty to help enhance the lives of those living in North Southwark and North Lambeth.
