Title

Biodiesel Technologies, Inc. - your alternative fuel!

Description

Biodiesel Technologies, Inc. (“BT”) is a company committed to advancing the technology it developed in partnership with Cornell University for the production of biodiesel. BT plans to capitalize on the growing global trend in biodiesel utilization through the lease and sale of its continuous flow technology. BT's proprietary process offers advantages and cost efficiencies over its competitors for technology, production, and facilities in this emerging industry.

BT was incorporated in the fall of 2000 after a company called Biodiesel Development Corporation was spun-off into two entities including Biodiesel Technologies, Inc. The original premise for BT as shared by its two founders, Christian Fleisher and Carina Ramirez, was that there had to be a better technological solution than the batch processing approaches that presently dominate the biodiesel industry. BT worked with Cornell University’s prestigious School of Chemical Engineering for the better part of a year on developing its proprietary process technology, and filed a patent in 2003.

In the Fall of 2002, Biodiesel Technologies, Inc. received a funding commitment from the Adirondack Venture Fund for the first two stages of its business plan, allowing BT funding to build and then license its first operational production unit in early 2004. BT has tested a broad range of operating parameters and feedstocks to determine optimal operating parameters for its technology and is currently engineering and fabricating its 300 gallons-per-hour production units for availability in Summer 2006.
