We are trying to put our best foot forward on this site – simply because we all believe so personally in the mission of Trinity. We are seeking to raise up and train dependably orthodox parish clergy and lay workers for the day-to-day hard work of building up parishes across America, and across the global village all around us.
I like that phrase "dependably orthodox,” which sounds like an old TV jingle. I owe it to a friend in Houston who recently characterized Trinity's graduates this way. We pray continually that we can just be given the chance to do what Trinity does best: prepare men and women to serve the whole church within regular lives of humble service.
We do also know that church planting is in our future, and probably the future of all churches. We are hungry to engage with the cultures all around us. We wish to carry the Good News of the Power in Weakness that is the Cross to sufferers, and to all people, and all nations. We are a Great Commission operation – and that goes also for the unevangelized continents of our own human hearts.
