Description
This site is based around the research of the Biltcliffe family line by Tom Biltcliffe, the site has been designed by John Biltcliffe. Its aim to to try and share some of the research with anyone that wants it providing it in a simple, but effective, form.
The site was launched back in 2002 with information on only about 300 people. Over the last few years the site has been through a number of versions, but not only have the number of visitors to the site grown, but also there are now over 1000 people's details listed.
Handling this amount of information is quite a challenge. The research is done within a dedicated genealogy software package, which then produces a standard GEDCOM file. This is then uploaded to the website and converted into the information which you see on the site. This makes updates straightforward, and means that the information on the site is as accurate as the research that we have done.
